Sin City Opening

Sin City exmple of film noir opening -

Notes:
- Mans face in shadow
- Poetic language
- Voice over
- dark / night
- rain / pathetic fallacy
- Black and white
- Only colour - red dress / lips / eyes when lighter lightens them up
- smoking - use of smoke to depict mystery and enigma
- zoom out and (graphic match?) to show sin city made by the rooftops of the skyscrapers
- shock when the man shoots her - sinister twist of the scene
